About Spider Solitaire US
About spidersolitaire.us
spidersolitaire.us is built around one game: Spider Solitaire, the two-deck patience that asks you to build eight complete runs from King down to Ace. You can play it here free, in your browser, at three difficulty levels — 1 suit, 2 suits and 4 suits — along with nine other classic solitaire games.
There is no download, no sign-up and no account. Pick a difficulty, and the cards are dealt.

What we learned about Spider's difficulty
Every Spider player knows that adding suits makes the game harder. We wanted to know how much harder, so we measured it.
We wrote a Spider simulation in Python using this site's rules and let the same look-ahead bot play thousands of numbered deals at each level. The bot sees only the face-up cards, as you do, and never uses Undo. Here is what it managed:
| Suits | Deals played | Bot win rate | Average suits completed (of 8) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4,000 | 52.8% | 4.96 |
| 2 | 4,000 | 5.7% | 0.82 |
| 4 | 2,000 | 0.2% | 0.05 |
Two things are worth saying about those numbers. First, they are a floor, not a ceiling. Our bot is fairly strong at one suit but weak at two and four, and a patient player with Undo will do much better. Second, a harder game does not mean fewer winnable deals. A 2026 study by Blake and Gent in the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research found that about 98.5% of four-suit Spider deals can be won by a solver that knows where every card is. So almost every four-suit deal is winnable; winning it without seeing ahead is the hard part. That gap is exactly why the game is so absorbing, and why Undo is unlimited here.
Each Spider page explains the method step by step, with the full set of figures and their margins of error.
The other games
When you want a change from Spider, there is classic Solitaire and Solitaire Turn 3, FreeCell, Baker's Solitaire, Yukon, Alaska, Diplomat, Golf and Pyramid. Each has its own study of how often it can be won. The full list is on the games page.
Every game has large, clear cards with a zoom control, Hint, unlimited Undo, Restart and Auto Play. You can drag and drop or tap to move, switch the sound off, go fullscreen and change the table color, on any modern computer, tablet or phone.
How we use AI
We used an AI assistant — Claude, made by Anthropic — to help write and review our simulation code and to draft the text on this site. It did not produce the figures. Every number on the site comes from running the code or from a named published source, and our team checked the results and reviewed every page before publishing.
Editorial standards
- Measured, not guessed. Every figure comes from our simulations, with deal counts and margins of error, or from a linked publication.
- Honest about limits. We label bot results as floors and uncertain results as ranges.
- This site's rules. Our descriptions and tests follow the rules as this site plays them.
- Open to correction. If something looks wrong, email us and we will check it.
